My Start

BGLashes is a new salon & spa service that opened recently in Clearfield Pennsylvania. The initial ask was to create a sales sheet that could be printed off as well as hosted on the customer's website.

I had previously helped this customer purchase and build her initial Google site allowing for a quick understanding.

My goals:

  1. Create a readable, scannable, and memorable sales sheet.
  2. Rapidly create some semblance of brand identity that would allow the customer to be more impactful on her market. Allow for later iterations with feedback or greater time allowance.
  3. Educate the customer on marketing know-how and provide insights into product marketing and search engine optimization.

Colors

What better way to speak "spa" than calm, cool colors?

Moving through experiments with monochrome scales, I quickly settled into a light and dark rose color as the primary usage for the brand.

I leveraged tools from Google Materials and Adobe to speed up my process. I selected a third, complementary, darker green value that we could use to break up content and imagery.

Exploration

Collage of images, icons, colors, and other graphics created or copied during the explorations of this design.

The most fun I've had designing with Figma and working with new AI tools. I used autodraw, smart marketing, chatGPT, and a few other resources as I scoured the web for inspiration and thoughtful designs.

I wanted to lean into the calming nature of pampered life while keeping our eyes on the eyes!

I debated my usage of heavy and dark values in this project. I leaned into giving a strong tone to the business as I've grown to know the business owner to be a very powerful and brilliant woman.

Conclusion

More work is to be done, but this owner is very pleased with the result and pushing her business to new heights!

The sales sheet, product labels, stickers, and more marketing materials are in the print phase as of writing this page and I hope to see continued success for this client!
